Patient Genesis to Launch Latest Release of ConsentNowTM at the 2016 Drug Information Association Annual Meeting

Fairfield, NJ — June 1, 2016 — Patient Genesis, LLC, a provider of electronic informed consent services to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, has been invited to showcase its ConsentNowTM technology at the Drug Information Association’s (DIA) annual meeting in Philadelphia, PA from June 26-29, 2016.

ConsentNowTM helps bio-pharmaceutical sponsors and clinical research organizations (CROs) improve patient retention and satisfaction by providing patients with the education and information necessary to truly understand the scope of their commitment to a clinical trial. The ConsentNow platform also provides institutional review boards, sponsors and CROs with easy access to content and analytics, while ensuring that only the latest versions of the informed consent forms are available.

“My partner, Kevin Kimmel, and I are excited to be one of the first companies to participate in DIA’s new Innovation Row, which gives promising start-ups the opportunity to participate in the DIA Annual Meeting,” said Jeffrey Litwin, M.D., co-founder of Patient Genesis. “We look forward to introducing our technology to this year’s meeting attendees.”

The latest advance in ConsentNow software provides patients with the highest level of understanding of the informed consent process, while offering sponsors excellent documentation of all aspects, including patient comprehension. An extensive audit trail and advanced analytics give sponsors unparalleled access to data to continually improve the engagement process with their patient partners.

About ConsentNow and Patient Genesis

ConsentNow is a digital technology platform that allows pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device makers to disclose critical information in an easy-to-use, patient-friendly format. The platform uses custom-developed video and animation segments to educate patients, paired with programmatically delivered knowledge assessment questions. Real-time access to a secure, web-based dashboard allows multiple team members access to all critical information.

ConsentNow was developed by Patient Genesis to improve on the traditional paper-based informed consent process, an inefficient method which often leaves patients more confused than informed —and can contribute to high dropout rates. Using the client’s paper-based informed consent form, Patient Genesis crafts a highly detailed script in any language for the narration of videos and animations, plus custom visual imagery to support the client’s brand positioning.
